March 2014 Changes

From 03/03/2014:

Route 256: From this date Countryliner will be operating the school service previously operated by Eastbourne Buses between Tunbridge Wells and Wadhurst (Uplands Community College). This service will be operated on behalf of East Sussex County Council. Timetable details can now be viewed in the timetable section. For further details please call , our Burgess Hill Depot.


February 2014 Changes

From 18/02/2014:

Hawkhurst Bus Station was closed by the present owner (Arriva Kent and Sussex), meaning that Countryliner services 254, 304 and 305 will now stop on Hawkhurst High Street (by the Royal British Legion) as apposed to the Bus Station. Timetables remain unchanged.


December 2015 Changes

From 02/12/2014:

Route 279: From this date Countryliner will be operating the Sunday service previously operated by Coastal Coaches. This service will be operated on behalf of Kent County Council and will only run on Sundays and Public Holidays (Including New Years Day!). October 2015 Changes

From 01/10/2014:

Route 824: The school time journey's will no longer serve Wivelsfield Church Lane or Wivelsfield Ote Hall Chapel, due to new requirements from Wivelsfield School.

From 02/10/2007:

Routes 69/79: From this date Countryliner have taken over the Tuesdays ONLY coast link shoppers services. Route 69 operating from Alfold to Pulborough, Route 79 from Pulborough to Worthing. Through fares will be available on these routes.

From 29/10/2007:

Routes 462/463: The 1525 journey, 1550 ex Woking towards Guildford will leave 5 minutes later from Bishop David Brown School on schooldays, and run 5 minutes later throughout.


September 2015 Changes

Date: 03/09/2014

From this date the following changes will occur:

Routes 50/61/662/681: These services have been withdrawn.

Route 87: This will run 15 minutes earlier in the afternoon due to a change in the school times.

Route 676: This will run 15 minutes earlier in the afternoon due to a change in the school times.

Routes 690/828: These services have been transferred to Alder Valley Travel, Countryliner no longer operate these services.

Date 17/09/2014

From this date the following changes will occur:

Route 254: Instead of having a 1610 departure from Hawkhurst to Tunbridge Wells, it will now depart at 1535 to run in line with the main frequency of the service.

Routes 304/305: On schooldays there will be an extra journey running from Claverham College to Canadia. The 1430 departure from Hastings to Hawkhurst that previously diverted on schooldays will no longer do this, it will operate as a standard 304 route journey. There have been no other changes to the main timetable.

Route 355: There has been some minor retimings of this service due to the requirements of Claverham College.

29/05/2007 Minor Changes to Surrey services

The following minor changes will occur from this date:

Route 463: The 0745 journey from Woking to Guildford will be advanced by 5 minutes throughout to improve reliability.

Route 536: This service will be withdrawn from this date due to poor use.


29/05/2007 *NEW Services in Hampshire & West Sussex*

With the recent changes to the West Sussex County Council tenders, Countryliner, from this date will be operating the following routes in the Hampshire & West Sussex areas. These routes were previously operated by Stagecoach in the South Downs, and are:

Route 54

A service run between Petersfield and Chichester approximately every 2 hours, providing a facility to visit Uppark (a National Trust property). This service will run on Mondays to Saturdays.

Route 56

One morning journey will be operated by Countryliner from this date - all other journeys will be run by Stagecoach, please visit http://www.stagecoachbus.com for further details.

Route 91

A service run between Petersfield and Midhurst serving South Harting. This service will operate from Mondays to Saturdays by Countryliner, however, the Sunday service will continue to be operated by Stagecoach. Route 92

A service run between Petersfield and Midhurst serving Trotton. This service will operate from Mondays to Saturdays.

Route X92

This is a Saturday ONLY shopping service from Midhurst to Portsmouth and return.

Route 93

A one round trip shopping service running between Midhurst and Petersfield via Milland, Redford and Rogate. This service will operate from Mondays to Saturdays.

23/04/2007 Mid & East Sussex Area Changes

From this date there are to be some changes to services in Mid and East Sussex.

Mid Sussex Area the main changes are as follows:

Route 30: On Mondays to Fridays there the following journeys have been withdrawn; the 1516 from Haywards Heath Sainsburys to Princess Royal Hospital, and the 1540 circular from Princess Royal Hospital and return. The Saturday schedule remains unchanged.

Route 31: The 0748 journey from Uckfield will now run on Saturdays as well. There is also an extra afternoon journey to Uckfield on Mondays to Fridays. Two journeys towards Uckfield will serve America Lane in Haywards Heath, and one morning and one evening journey will be extended to Cuckfield.

Route 32: This service has been withdrawn due to cessation of County Council funding.

Route 33: Very minor timing changes have been applied to impove service reliability.

Routes 34 - 37: The main daytime times throughout the week remain unchanged. The Sunday operation on routes 34, 36 & 37 has been withdrawn due to the cessation of County Council funding. The Schooldays journeys numbered 38 will continue to operate as normal.

Routes 39A, 39B & 39C: These special shoppers services have been withdrawn.

Routes 40/40X: Easy Access Super Low Floor Buses will now be scheduled on all journeys where operational conditions allow. It may be necessary to run an ordinary bus if vehicle availability is limited. Both services have had a revised timetable, where some Route 40 journeys have been reduced, but extra journeys have been added to Route 40X with revised morning and evening times to cater for staff at Royal Sussex Hospital.

East Sussex Area the main changes are as follows:

Route 254: This restores the former route number for the section of route between Broad Oak/Hawkhurst and Tunbridge Wells, minor timing changes have occured but the level of service will remain the same.

Routes 304/305: With the Hawkhurst to Tunbridge Wells section of the route being re-numbered the 304/305 will now operate between Hawkhurst and Hastings only. Again minor timing changes have occured to improve reliability, but the level of service will remain unchanged.

A guarenteed connection will be in place at Hawkhurst Bus Station for any passengers wanting to travel beyond. The Sunday service on route 254 will continue to be operated by Coastal Coaches, for further information contact (01797) 253176
